During the year Mineral Resources Authority participates in several international conferences and tradeshow as part of its promotional activities to attract Investors to explore and develop PNG's Mineral Resources.

The first promotional international conferences that Mineral Resources Authority (MRA) participated in was the MINING INDABA in Capetown, South Africa from the February 9th - 17th 2009. MRA was represented by Mr. Arnold Lakamanga who was assisted by Mr. Magnus Erickson, of Raw Materials Group, Sweden; the business investment and promotions consultant contracted by the EU SYSMIN project. MRA also participated in the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference in Toronto Canada from the 1st - 4th March 2009. MRA was represented by Mr. Philip Samar, Mr. Gabriel Kuna and the Managing Director Mr. Kepas Wali.

MRA will also be attending the Mines & Money Gulf Conference in Dubai from 1-2 April 2009.

MRA is also one of several organizations taking part in the PNG Trade Mission to Japan on May 26 2009.
